Spring reminds us of new beginnings. The hope of sunshine, rain, warmth and new growth. As I ponder these things, I am reminded of this season on the Hebraic calendar, when the Jews are counting the 50 days between Passover and Pentecost. I think about the anticipation the disciples were feeling as they awaited the arrival of the Holy Spirit. They so anticipated this time, that they gathered together in one accord – praying and petitioning God for this promised gift spoken of by their very own beloved – resurrected Jesus! The very gift that enabled them to move forward in Spirit and in Truth, overcoming the evil that would try to prevail against the power of God.
We are living in such a day when darkness, evil and truth is falling in the streets. A day that God has promised His judgment upon the nations, people, churches that will reject the “love of truth!” 2 Thess. 2:10
My watchman warning for today is to “Love Truth!” God’s Truth. There is a scripture in Proverbs 23:23, “Buy truth and do not sell it, also wisdom, instruction and understanding.” We buy truth by believing and acting upon it.
Those who worship Him, worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Exercise your belief in God and His Word:
- Sing
- Praise Him, read the Psalms
- Practice Believing! Hate your sins enough to give them up
- Hate fear and unbelief Practice not fearing! The antidote to anxiety is thanksgiving. You cannot be thankful and anxious at the same time.
- Eat a scripture every time you put food in your mouth
- Do not compromise truth
(Just a few thoughts)
Thank God for this season. God wins. Ask Him to teach you how to be an over-comer. Over-comers will be the Bride who has made herself ready. Rev. 19:7
